Katame-waza

Katame-waza to technika obezwładnień. Tą dużą grupę (29 technik) dzielimy na trzy podgrupy:

  • Osaekomi-waza (techika trzymań) - 7 technik
  • Shime-waza (technika duszeń) - 12 technik
  • Kansetsu-waza (technika dźwigni) - 10 technik

Tylko pierwsza z tych podgrup przypisana jest do technik Ne-waza (technika parteru), natomiast Shime-waza i Kansetsu-waza chociaż rzadko stosuje się również w stójce. Jednak w walce sportowej olbrzymia większość technik Katame-waza jest skutecznie wykonywana wyłącznie w Ne-waza.

Ilość technik Kodokan judo i ich nazewnictwo zostało  w 1985 roku zrewidowana. Dodano 5 duszeń (Sode-guruma-jime, Kata-te-jime, Ryo-te-jime, Tsukkomi-jime, Sankaku-jime) oraz 3 dźwignie (Ude-hishigi-ashi-gatame, Ude-hishigi-te-gatame, Ude-hishigi-sankaku-gatame), zastąpiono również starą nazwę trzymania Hon-kesa-gatame nową: Kesa-gatame.

W niniejszym opracowaniu prezentujemy również techniki, które nie należą  do klasycznych technik Kodokan Judo lecz ich powstanie wynika z rozwoju techniki w walce sportowej. Są one oceniane na zawodach, lecz ich nazewnictwo nie jest sformalizowane i w różnych krajach mogą mieć inne nazwy. Są one prezentowane w zakładkach pt. "Inne ............." . Tych technik razem jest 11.
